The Top 5 Places to Live in the Philippines for Peace and Quiet

Living in the heart of the city does have its advantages and disadvantages, but there’s nothing like some peace and quiet while you’re relaxing on the porch of your own home, right? There will always come a time when all you want to look at is the clear blue sky and mountains with swathes of trees all around. Not only is it pleasing to the eyes, but it also calms down your weary soul.

So for those who are looking for the best places for peace and quiet here in the Philippines, we’ve prepared the best five places to be for some quality, rural life.

1. BATANGAS

Known all over the Philippines for its unique accent and the balisong (butterfly knife), Batangas is a great place to be. It has existed since before the time the Spaniards came and was once known as Kumintang. It is also home to several key businesses and the local government has been improving road infrastructures to invite more people to live in the province.

But most importantly, Batangas is a popular tourist destination because of the Taal Volcano.

It’s also home to some of the best beaches in Luzon, so if this is something you fancy, then Batangas should be on your list.

2. PALAWAN

Known as one of the best provinces to visit because of its world-class beach resorts and attractions, Palawan still has areas where only a few people live.

Puerto Princesa is the capital of Palawan and it is also home to some of the best beaches that are not as rambunctious as the ones in Boracay, so if you love living near the open, quiet sea, then you might want to take a look at our list of properties available in Palawan here.

3. DAVAO

Davao City and its neighboring provinces have lots of awesome places to live in, especially if you want some peace and quiet.

Despite having an International Airport and also, being a city situated in troublesome Mindanao, Davao City is one of the safest places to live in because of strict city ordinances. Almost everyone who lives in Davao are disciplined and friendly. Real estate development there is growing nicely, so if you fancy a taste of Southern Philippine hospitality, then buy a house in Davao City.

4. CEBU

The province of Cebu has tons of places to offer for those who want to live in a secluded location.

The cities of Naga in Southern Cebu are perfect locations because of the SRP Highway. No matter how far you are from the city, you can simply take the highway and within a few minutes, you’re already right in the heart of Cebu City from Talisay or Carcar.

While the province of Cebu is rapidly becoming a urbanized region, there are still a lot of remote areas available for people who want to build vacation homes and rest houses.

5. BOHOL

So why is Panglao Island and the Chocolate Hills.

Panglao Island is another awesome beach destination in the Philippines that is becoming as popular as Palawan or Boracay. And right now, real estate development in this island near Tagbilaran is currently on the rise.

Panglao is not the only good place to live in for those who prefer peace and quiet. Tagbilaran is also a great place to live in because even though it is a city, there’s still a lot of space left for premium property choices.
