Vista Residences, the condominium department of Vista Land & Lifescapes, is partnering with respected Japanese real estate developer Mitsubishi Estate (MEC) to launch the first-ever Japanese-inspired condo project in Metro Manila. The joint venture development will have more than 1,000 units and feature designs commonly found in Japan.

“Vista Land is excited to present our very first Japanese-inspired condominium property in Manila in collaboration with our joint venture partner MEC that will cater to university students and young professionals who want an upgraded lifestyle. We want our homebuyers to be able to balance their purpose and passion while enjoying the convenience of city living,” Vista Land President and Chief Executive Officer Manuel Paolo Villar explained to the Business Mirror.

The proposed condo will stand 42-storeys and be located in the Taft area of Metro Manila, a place Vista Land is very familiar with. It has developed the nearby Vista Taft along with several other transit-oriented properties close to university clusters and central business districts.

While specifics on the first-ever Japanese-inspired condominium project remain scarce, the joint venture partners did reveal a few details. For example, the tower will boast minimalist architectural finishes and lifestyle features designed to improve daily well-being.

The project with Vista Land is the latest move for MEC in the Philippines and its first foray into the residential sector. In 2019, the firm announced that it was jointly developing an office project in Taguig with Arthaland. Being involved with the first-ever Japanese-inspired condominium project in Metro Manila will allow the developer to lean on its knowledge and help launch a development the market has never seen before.

“We are grateful for our partnership with Vista Land that will enable us to take on another challenge to share our expertise and passion in real estate development…” Mitsubishi Estate Senior Executive Officer Yutaro Yotsuzuka told the media. “With Vista Land’s proven track record in the industry, we know that this project will be yet another success. We look forward to our collaboration in terms of concept, architecture and technology that will differentiate this project from the rest of the condominium properties in Manila.”
