Halloween in Manila 2018

Want to know more about Halloween in Manila? From decorations to celebrations, here are three essentials you need for a fun and spooky time this year.

How to celebrate Halloween in Manila

1) Fun for the family

There are several events taking place during October designed entirely for the young ones. Halloween in Manila wouldn’t be complete without some trick-or-treating and it will be possible at the SPOOKtacular Halloween Party being organized by Active Fun. There will also be a costume contest and a bunch of other fun activities. The festivities take place on October 26 at ActiveFun Bonifacio Global City and ActiveFun Evia Lifestyle Center. In the days before Halloween, Fun Ranch hosts its annual Boo! Time Halloween Weekend. In addition to a costume party, kids can trick-or-treat and watch a Magic Show among other activities. Click here for more information.

2) Scary time for grownups

While Halloween is fun for the kids, grownups prefer something a little more, well, grown up. Candy is replaced by horror movies and other scary happenings. In Manila, there are plenty of events capturing this aspect of the holiday. For example, the Halloween Horror House at One Esplanade is a maze that will fright and delight. Get your tickets here.

Meanwhile, just about every bar and nightclub in Manila will be hosting some sort of Halloween-themed event. The Prohibition Era Party at ABV Cocktail & Absinthe Bar is one of the most unique this year. There’s free admission if you wear a 1920s-inspired outfit and the entire night will feel like an evening in The Great Gatsby.

3) Get your Halloween Decorations

It’s not always easy finding Halloween decorations in Manila. That’s because many people don’t really like decorating their home with spider webs and the like. However, if you want to bring some spooky appeal to your home or host a party, it is possible to find the right decorations.

Puentespina Orchids & Tropical Plants, Inc, located in Makati, is known to carry various Halloween decorations. Anding’s Toys Shop is another store where you can find some spooky decor as well as costumes.
