7 Great Christmas Party Ideas for the Condo Owner

Living in a condominium definitely has its advantages and disadvantages. You live right in the heart of the city and, if you live all the way up in the higher floors of the condo building, you have a sweet view of the city. Of course, since it’s a condo, the only small issue would probably be the living space and that fact can become a small problem, especially if you’re planning a little get-together for your family and friends for the Yuletide season.

So if you’re out of ideas or you need to think of an awesome Christmas party idea like really, really fast, then here are some awesome Christmas Party ideas that will fit perfectly for a condo owner like you:

1. Christmas Movie Marathon: Because to be honest, a great party isn’t always one with so many activities. Having your friends come over to watch four Christmas movies is a great idea, especially if your condo unit is not that spacious for a Christmas party. While you’re at it, you can think of creative games while watching the movie. For example, competing which one can spot anyone wearing a Santa hat the fastest is a fun ice-breaker.

2. Christmas Carol Karaoke Night: Another great party idea is to have a Christmas carol karaoke night. This means everyone needs to sing Christmas carol songs instead of the usual tunes that you and your friends would normally belt out during your average karaoke nights. But before you do that, make sure to tell your neighbors that you’re having a karaoke night so it won’t disturb them. Or have the party at an earlier time so you won’t wake up your neighbors with the noise!

3. Christmas Trivia Night: If you’re concerned about making too much noise with your friends during your Christmas party, then why not have a Christmas trivia night party? Assign someone to be the game master while you and your friends can split up in groups. Make sure you load up on Christmas categories and Christmas trivia to make it a fun night. And, of course, don’t forget to prepare the prizes!

4. Gingerbread House Decoration Contest:  The tradition of decorating a gingerbread house for Christmas may seem like a kiddy treat, but it won’t be one unless if it becomes a competition! Choose a judge from one of your friends and get all the ingredients and supplies ready for baking and decorating the gingerbread house. Be careful not to make too much of a mess though!

5. Exchanging Gifts with a Twist: Exchanging gifts among friends has been an ongoing tradition during the Yuletide season. So if you feel that the usual ritual is too boring, why not exchange items that aren’t of any value to you at all? You and your friends can organize the stuff that you aren’t using anymore and then wrap the item in white Christmas wrapping paper. When the party starts, start the exchange gift ritual with a “White Elephant” game, where one person can pick from the pile of gifts or steal someone else’s gift!

6. Christmas Cat Costume Party: If you and your friends are all cat people and have cats, then its time to dress up your pet feline with the cutest Christmas costume you can think of. You can make it on your own or you can buy one from a store. Have someone judge the whole event and make sure to give your little kitty a treat after the party. Dogs are also happy Santas!

7. Fireworks Viewing Party: If your condo has a really good view of the city skyline, invite some of your friends for an awesome Christmas fireworks viewing get-together. In the Philippines, most shopping malls would usually have a fireworks display during Christmas and New Year, so make good use of that balcony and enjoy the evening light show!
